MULTISPRAY LONG SERVICE AWARDS

I’m sure Chris Dreyer, company founder of Multispray, couldn’t have foreseen the 50 years of success that he would have as a legacy as he stood in Germany studying special paint and techniques for the body shop. His engineering background and practical know-how were definitely put to the test in creating this achievement.

Multispray have been able to constantly improve their repair quality and huge volume of work output by introducing a series of state-of-the-art equipment improvements over the last five decades as well as a keen focus on keeping their staff happy and feeling a valuable part of the business – which they are.

Their purpose designed operation of 3 500 sq m in Vanderbijlpark could literally stand against any shop in Europe and hold its head high with the quality and investment in equipment that the Multispray team have accomplished. They have the latest in waterborne refinish technology as well as other brands to cover the DIY and uninsured part of the business too.

Chris handed over the reins to his son, Christo Dreyer and his capable daughter-in-law, Wilna Dreyer. The occasion of celebrating 50 years in business was a great day that Automotive Refinisher had the pleasure to attend. Certificates and gifts were handed out for long services, which only started from 10 years onwards, and more than three quarters of the staff received these. Even retired staff were on hand to join in the festivities and were recognised as being an integral part of the foundation on which Multispray had grown.

The staff are very proud to work for a company that sees their value in all they do and continues to invest in training and upliftment. This is where this family business has come into its strength as they really have a big heart and care deeply for their staff.

Multispray staff are a cut above the rest with every member committed to the company’s ongoing success. You have to remember that any team is only as strong as its weakest link so everybody is included in the quality commitment on each and every vehicle that they are repairing. That is the Multispray ethic of success – and it is a philosophy that has built them a considerable reputation in collision repair in the Vaal Triangle.

Classic COrner & REStoration

Classic cars are the next big investment. As such the sector of restoration is growing in the realms of collision repair and it’s definitely the “sexier” side of the business. There are many opportunities to create exotic special-builds as well as keep timeless beauties in mint condition.

DRIVEN

With three motoring-journalists on our staff, we are able to test drive and review some of the latest models available on our roads as well as attend the latest model launches.

TRAINING

Knowledge is power. Training is key to up-skilling repairers as models launch onto our local roads faster than we can count. We also need to grow new talent into the collision repair industry. Courses are available to help and organisations are in place to train - this information is in Industry Index.
