RUPPING BODY WORKS, WINDHOEK, NAMIBIA
Rupping Body Works has expanded consistently since its opening in 1959 and is one of the largest and most reputable body shops in Windhoek, Namibia. Owner, Vernon Rupping, says that the company believes in delivering an expert quality of repair on every vehicle. Vernon studied at Westlake Technical College and has a firm grasp of all things repair from the ground up – a great asset to him.
They repair for over six insurance companies in Namibia and enjoy a good working relationship with a host of approved manufacturers.
Asking the Rupping Body Works management team about their best investment, Vernon stands next to a CMC spraybooth from Italy and says it’s been a major asset to their paint shop quality over the years, and is still going strong. They believe firmly in investing in their shops with the correct tools and in their people with the correct training on systems and technical repair.
The spray-painting team operate over four separate spraying areas of production and are using PPG Envirobase as a paint system of choice. They work closely with the team at CYMOT and their Colour Perfect division.
The front-line team of Elista and Charmaine take care of customer relations and the claims department. Rupping Body Works have a full complement of some 20-expert staff, giving peace-of-mind to their customers and service providers.
“Keeping pace with vehicle technology has boosted our technician’s ability to gain an expert repair every time,” said Vernon in closing. The Namibian panel shop market may not be immense in numbers, but they are proud in delivering quality workmanship and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and suppliers. Everyone is treated as family – a lesson we can all learn to build on authentically.
