LATEST AUTOMX DEVELOPMENTS
AutoMX has pioneered to include a Save-A-Car option across the board of the OEMs that they and their members represent. When using the AutoMX platform, it is now easy to click the red button and begin the process for the customer to be able to repair their vehicle and keep it on the road.
The Save-A-Car programme is a collaborative motor industry initiative in South Africa that allows insurance companies to work directly with vehicle manufacturers and dealerships. Its goal is to reduce repair costs and prevent older or damaged vehicles from being unnecessarily written off. This concept can also be applied as an option to drivers who are not insured as well as vehicle that are out of warranty.
In the reality of vehicles being written off at very low levels, this is proving to be a preferred alternative for all involved – the OEM, the dealership and body shop – and ultimately the customer. Each part of the pie is able to monitor the process on the system. They can see in real-time just how each leg is able to reduce costs on parts or labour, to keep the vehicle from being written off.
There is a cap of 24 hours for this process to be turned into reality. After a few hours, if the correct person hasn’t come back to the quote, it then escalates until there is a response. A quicker response time means a far happier experience for all involved.
Instead of receiving a payout and losing their car to a salvage auction, the customer is able to keep their vehicle, while being safely repaired as well. This makes more financial sense for all involved, as well as customer satisfaction.
Parts Hotline
Another new development from AutoMX is the launch of their Parts Hotline. This has been developed to connect you to the Correct person at the OEM to source parts quicker and easier. The process also includes a status update which assists body shops keeping customers informed and ultimately, vehicles repaired as fast as possible.
Parts for brands such as Chery, BYD, MG and Omoda, amongst many others will be easier to source using the AutoMX Parts Hotline.
