HYUNDAI ALL NEW GRAND i10

Hyundai has introduced the all-new Grand i10 in South Africa. This fresh version of Hyundai’s biggest seller in the country brings style, flair, roominess, and an impressive list of features, all wrapped up in a compact package.

From the moment you lay eyes on the all-new Grand i10, its striking exterior design commands attention. The redesigned grille and refreshed exterior styling give it a contemporary and bold look that belies its compact size. LED daytime running lamps and fog lamps, especially in the Fluid versions, add to its road presence. The all-new Grand i10 is not just a small car; it’s a small car with a big personality.

Hyundai understands the importance of choice, and the Grand i10 offers plenty of it. Buyers can select from a range of body colours, including Polar White, Phantom Black, Typhoon Silver, Titan Grey, and Fiery Red. The Fluid version even offers two-tone options with a Black Roof for the Polar White.

Differentiating the Motion and Fluid versions are their wheels, with 14-inch steel wheels for the former and alloy wheels for the latter. The top of the range Fluid derivatives impress with 15-inch alloy wheels boasting a unique design.

Feature-rich interior

Step inside the Grand i10, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the abundance of features packed into this compact car. Even for its small stature, the list of features is impressive. The Fluid version boasts a range of amenities, from heated side rear-view mirrors to a multi-function steering wheel and artificial leather seat covers with eye-catching red stitching. Rear park assistance adds to the convenience of getting into some of those tricky parking spots.

The infotainment system takes centre stage, equipped with a     6.2-inch touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto when connected via USB. An additional USB port ensures you can charge your devices on the go.

Performance and safety

Under the hood, the Grand i10 offers two engine options: a 998cc 3-cylinder engine and a slightly larger 1,197cc Kappa 4-cylinder engine. These engines provide a balance of power and efficiency, catering to different driving preferences. There’s also an option for a four-speed automatic gearbox for added convenience.

When it comes to safety, the Grand i10 doesn’t compromise. All versions come with driver and front passenger airbags, ISOFIX child seat attachments, and pretensioners for seat belts. Advanced Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) are standard features across all variants, ensuring a secure and controlled driving experience.

Affordable luxury

The best part? The Grand i10 offers all this at an affordable price, starting at just R191 900. It’s not just a car; it’s a complete package that includes a 7-year or 200 000km manufacturer’s warranty, a one-year or 15 000km service plan, and five-years/150 000km of roadside assistance.

The all-new Hyundai Grand i10 proves that you don’t need a big car to have a big heart. With its stylish design, comprehensive features, and commitment to safety and affordability, it’s a game-changer, setting new standards and making a big statement on South Africa’s roads.

Classic COrner & REStoration

Classic cars are the next big investment. As such the sector of restoration is growing in the realms of collision repair and it’s definitely the “sexier” side of the business. There are many opportunities to create exotic special-builds as well as keep timeless beauties in mint condition.

TRAINING

Knowledge is power. Training is key to up-skilling repairers as models launch onto our local roads faster than we can count. We also need to grow new talent into the collision repair industry. Courses are available to help and organisations are in place to train – this information is in Industry Index.
