FIREFLY POLISH COMBINES STATE-OF-THE-ART FORMULATIONS WITH FAST SURFACE FINISHING
Luxor Paints has released a number of polishing system options with developments on its Firefly range that combines state-of-the-art formulations with fast surfacing finishing.
The most popular of the Firefly options is the M3 system which uses fast acting self-diminishing abrasive technology and works with express results to deliver a high gloss wet-look finish. It is used with ultra fine abrasive water paper or dry abrasive discs of 1500 and above grit sizes.
Firefly also recommend and stock a range of new hand sanding blocks to reduce the problems of finger furrows in the sanding operation, using very small amounts of regular grade Firefly. The first step can be accomplished either with a wet sanding or dry sanding process.
It is recommended to be used with special white or yellow foam polishing heads for fast gloss recovery with a two-step compound polish. For a flawless paint job complete with a stage 3 liquid protection premium polish. It is ideal for all types of body shop paintwork and rectification work.
Firefly’s attention to detail is topped off with a range of back-up pads from soft to ultra-soft pads used in different process recommendations.
Entry level pricing advantages are emphasised by the various systems on offer. The one stage M1 brand is available with a low-speed Firefly polisher along with a double sided lambswool mop and two soft polishing foam mops. Supercut delivers a quick return to high gloss levels and is available in four popular pack sizes from Luxor Paint distributors.
Further to these gloss polishing systems a new M5 Liquid Wax and special foam application pad enables the premium wax – which contains no silicone – to deliver a top wax liquid protection to freshly polished paintwork. This must be used with a soft microfibre cloth to clean the panel.
