ESANI BODYSHOP, A JEWEL IN CAPE TOWN’S CROWN

Esani Bodyshop CC was established in 1994. Through sustained and focused commitment to quality and customer service, they have secured year-on-year growth. They pride themselves as a specialist automotive body repairer in the Western Cape.

Their early beginnings started in 1991 with a small valet shop in Stellenbosch, with minor repairs as side-line business. Demand grew and they were fortunate to expand the business in 1994. This growth and fortune allowed the two Esterhuizen brothers to confidently look ahead and in January 2008, they moved the company to its current location in Blackheath.

The floor area in which they operate is 2000 sqm and they have 28 permanent employees. Esani Bodyshop do 60% major and 40% minor repairs with their mainstream of work received via insurance companies. All private and walk-ins are an added benefit to their success.

Extremely skilled panelbeating and spraypainting technicians ensure perfect final results, every time and on time – customer satisfaction is always their top priority.

In-house paint and abrasive training is conducted by their business partners, PPG and ABS Parow. They started their working relationship with them in 2019. “PPG Envirobase® HP is the compliant solution for any paint shop. World-class products, up-to-date industry information, best equipment for the paint jobs, continuous training and outstanding service and deliveries ensure we are always ahead,” say the team at Esani Bodyshop.

Very recently the company entered into a new era of paint mixing with the installation of the PPG MoonWalk machine.  “For us, MoonWalk is a step into the future of technology. MoonWalk is an automated mixing system and we have experienced reduced waste and mess, more accurate colour mixing and time saving. We definitely have made the right decision for our business with this addition as it streamlines our efficiency and enables us to produce even more accurate work with very happy customers at the end of the day.”

Training sessions are also conducted off-site at OEM’s and PPG’s training facilities with staff employed by Esani Bodyshop receiving training with Merseta to make sure that everyone is up-to-date on new techniques, colours, repair methods and more.

They cannot deny the challenging and difficult trading conditions over the past few years. Throughout these though, they have remained motivated, pushing forward with positive attitudes, keeping their house in order and always focusing on customer service.

Esani Bodyshop endeavours to deliver satisfactory service and outstanding workmanship to all their clients. They are always prepared to walk the extra mile to ensure that their customers are happy – an added secret to their success.

Classic COrner & REStoration

Classic cars are the next big investment. As such the sector of restoration is growing in the realms of collision repair and it’s definitely the “sexier” side of the business. There are many opportunities to create exotic special-builds as well as keep timeless beauties in mint condition.

DRIVEN

With three motoring-journalists on our staff, we are able to test drive and review some of the latest models available on our roads as well as attend the latest model launches.

TRAINING

Knowledge is power. Training is key to up-skilling repairers as models launch onto our local roads faster than we can count. We also need to grow new talent into the collision repair industry. Courses are available to help and organisations are in place to train – this information is in Industry Index.
