MBUNTU TRAINING CENTRE
Nishma Deeplall is a woman with a passion for training in the collision repair sector. She founded Mbuntu Training Services in 2022 and brings years of work experience and a vast knowledge of the industry, from her time working at Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services Education Training Authority (merSETA) and the major Motor Groups in South Africa.
Spray painting is listed as a scarce and critical skill and Mbuntu Training Centre are filling a vital void in the industry with their training. Their students are exposed to the latest equipment, alongside varying paint technologies and ancillaries. They work on classic vehicles right through to modern day models to make sure that they can cope with the ever-changing scope of work that is required from a qualified artisan in this field.
The company is based in Edenvale, and is currently the only accredited test centre in Gauteng for spray painting and body repair qualifications. Comprehensive training for this hands-on trade is limed and the demand is very high for skilled professionals. Mbuntu Training Centre bridge this gap by offering all-encompassing training, on-the-job placement and the knowledge needed to excel. They also help with administration on each student until they are qualified and can help any business receive the most out of placing an apprentice.
The team of trainers know what is required to provide guidance and instruction to help develop job-ready candidates that can add value as they hit your shop floor on the first day of placement to gain the most out of this experience.
Nishma’s passion is clear when she explains that they meet each student at their pace. The end result is a qualified student with excellent understanding and confidence in their ability.
She is understandably distressed at the length of time it takes to enrol students and get their qualification certificates returned as the wheels at merSETA turn very slowly. She has made some headway into bypassing this route and Ð I’m hopeful to report shortly Ð that there will be another fruitful avenue to pursue to get monetary grants to help equip future artisans.
