MAZDA CX-60 TAKUMI DESTINED FOR SA

The Mazda CX-60, which arrived in SA earlier this year, is fast becoming a favourite in the Mazda stable. The elegant SUV is turning heads around the country and, to add to the excitement, Mazda Southern Africa has announced that the CX-60 Takumi variant will soon be added to the local line-up.

The Mazda CX-60 will be the range flagship with its 3.3Litre in-line 6-cylinder Turbodiesel Mild Hybrid. The impressive powerplant produces 187kW and 550Nm.

The Mazda CX-60 Takumi features an exclusive front bumper design, a bar type piano black grille, a bright metal finish to the front signature wings, side signatures and glazing surrounds, and 20-inch, black metallic, diamond-cut machined alloy wheels.

According to Craig Roberts, MD of Mazda Southern Africa, “The CX-60 is a brilliant SUV in any derivative, and we are thrilled to be adding the Takumi to our local range.”

The Mazda CX-60 Takumi is expected to arrive in South Africa in February 2024. Pricing and full specification will be confirmed closer to the time.

Classic COrner & REStoration

Classic cars are the next big investment. As such the sector of restoration is growing in the realms of collision repair and it’s definitely the “sexier” side of the business. There are many opportunities to create exotic special-builds as well as keep timeless beauties in mint condition.

DRIVEN

With three motoring-journalists on our staff, we are able to test drive and review some of the latest models available on our roads as well as attend the latest model launches.

TRAINING

Knowledge is power. Training is key to up-skilling repairers as models launch onto our local roads faster than we can count. We also need to grow new talent into the collision repair industry. Courses are available to help and organisations are in place to train – this information is in Industry Index.
