MAB AUTOBODY CELEBRATE 27 YEARS OF SUCCESS
Since its humble beginnings, MAB Autobody has upheld a one-stop-shop philosophy that has driven its success. Today, the company operates from an impressive showroom and warehouse in Hofmeyer Avenue, Vereeniging, staying true to its vision of professionalism.
Under the leadership of Tony, Karen and Roy Marsberg, MAB Autobody have remained at the forefront of parts, paint, and glass supply in the Vaal region. The company’s strategy is built on delivering quality products and maintaining strong relationships with top suppliers.
“We have carefully selected some of the best suppliers in the industry,” says Tony. “Our straightforward business ethics have enabled us to maintain exceptional relationships with them over the years. Preferred suppliers are a key part of our business model.”
Operating in a highly competitive market has always been challenging, according to Roy, who manages the company’s operational and customer service divisions. MAB Autobody currently offers a one-day delivery service with a fleet of 13 vehicles covering a vast area, from the Vaal to the northern Free State, and as far as Harrismith – including body shop repair centres and industrial clients.
“We do what we do best,” says Roy. “We stock a vast range of products, including abrasives, clips, glass fitment components, and various body parts, ensuring fast and efficient deliveries. As customer demands have increased, we have expanded our services to include specialised refinishing paint support. Our latest addition is the Octoral brand of refinishing products.”
Tony explains that the decision to adopt Octoral was to add an approved compact waterborne system with a complementing solvent borne system for non-approved repairers looking for a premium solution at affordable costs.
The system, with its reduced toner range of basecoats and 2K solid colours, delivers exceptional accuracy using a state-of-the-art spectrometer colour analyser. “Our rapid Octoral colour-matching service has been a great success due to its precision,” he adds.
Additionally, MAB Autobody has successfully launched a range of clips and fasteners, providing body shops with competitively priced accessories that are readily available for immediate delivery. Roy highlights the industry trend of insurers seeking more cost-effective refinishing solutions to prevent vehicle write-offs – an area where Octoral’s affordability and performance perfectly align.
Beyond servicing professional body shops, MAB Autobody also cater to DIY customers through its cash sales division, ensuring accessibility for all sectors of the refinishing market.
What sets MAB Autobody apart from its competitors, according to the Marsberg family, is their unwavering commitment to fairness in all business dealings. By fostering long-term relationships and emphasising teamwork, they have built a reputation for reliability and excellence. Over the years, this approach has cemented MAB Autobody’s success in meeting the automotive needs of customers throughout the Vaal region.
