HURRICANE CRAFTER BENCH ONE SIZE FITS ALL
The Hurricane Equipment Crafter Bench has been developed specifically to assist truck and bus repair centres who need added platform length to effect truck chassis fixing, plus a taller design for faster repair cycles. The Crafter Bench is a high performance and cost-effective solution for re-shaping and body straightening that is specifically designed for larger light commercial vehicles, around seven tons, like the Sprinter type of units.
The fully loaded Crafter is delivered with a full set of VW Amarok body clamps plus a set of universal sill clamps and a centre body lift. The package further includes a mechanical measuring stick.
“The extended platform,” says Andrew Mackie, company spokesman, “is a full 7 400 m in length which is coupled to one extra wide platform width of 3 150mm. This comes with a belt loading facility and two 10-ton pullers plus another huge 15-ton tower that can effect taller cab damage if needed to complete a truck a repair.”
The flexibility of rigging up exactly the right angle of body straightening pull works for ultimate accuracy. It offers a full 360º pull angle with the combination of the full three tower package. This is combined to give a full 35 000 kg of pulling capacity and worker repair comfort is held at a repair platform height of 500 to 550mm working with up to eight bar hydraulic pressure. The Crafter offers a new state-of-the-artwork repair centre for commercial vehicle rectification, like the VW Crafter commercial vehicle as well as a raft of vehicles from Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, and Hyundai which are the larger vehicles now on offer in South Africa.
