AUTOBOYS ALL NEW DISTRIBUTION CENTRE
Moving with their concept of providing innovative ideas to the collision repair market, Autoboys has provided a new start-up warehouse in Pomona, Gauteng. The huge new building is home to close to 25 000-line items which the company market across the automotive parts, auto glass and refinish supply businesses.
Rob Ryan, Executive Director at Autoboys, says it is all part of their proactive philosophy to keep their clients and insurance partners on top of their game with excellent service. The OEM and OEE parts in automotive are being expanded to further assist insurance supply. With the new concept hub centre, they are in a good position to further develop a complete one-stop shop approach for both workshop and body repair trades, by using the best brands that conform to the highest industry standards.
Delia Jackson, Account Manager, is upbeat about the new facility which now covers some 6 000 square metres of high-rise stock availability. Twenty-two delivery vehicles are also hard at work daily completing customer deliveries. They are despatched twice a day throughout the Gauteng business areas alone to meet demand.
Axalta’s Spies Hecker waterborne approved refinish paint brand, as well as their Duxone brand are available from Autoboys. They can now offer new solutions with these premium brands to suit the needs of collision repairers. “Refinish coatings has become quite a complex matter. With colouristics, new formulas and ever-changing process efficiencies you need to become proactive to keep pace with the market dynamics needed,” said Jackson. She went on to say that agility for them is a vital component in the seamless supply of customer orders on paint, body filler, abrasives, and a whole raft of consumables that they stock.
Janine Blatt manages the warehouse operation. She takes care of national despatch orders, locally and through their branches in all areas of South Africa. Orders placed by 16h00 will be delivered the next day along with reliable logistics companies that they have developed relationships with over the last 15 years of being in business.
Autoboys is a black majority owned business with African Rainbow Capital owning the majority share. They continue to pursue a customer-focused approach right across their broad base of insurance partners and key market clients, to extend company market share with workshops and individual clients that have delivered Autoboys’ exceptional growth since its inception in 2010.
